Rest day in Port Elizabeth

We checked out of our Cape Town apartment and deposited the car at the airport, before taking a one hour flight to Port Elizabeth. We flew over Stellenbosch and long, pristine, empty beaches before landing at Port Elizabeth. The flight was so short that we were on our way down before John got his cup of tea.
We were collected at the airport and driven to our B&B, Manor 38 in Summerstrand, the University suburb of PE to the west (PE is not large). There we were welcomed by the manager, Wendy and we spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool, blogging and relaxing.

In the evening, we wandered along the sea front for a hour as the sun set behind the active port of PE.

The front was busy with strolling couples and joggers. There were hotels and restaurants and the was a buzz of activity. We found a rare postbox, an endangered species it would seem, and feed it it some cards.

We ate at a nearby restaurant recommended by Wendy where we had enormous fish (bastarman), Pat was only able to eat one side.

This morning (Wednesday), after a supurb breakfast, we are waiting to be picked up and driven to Shamwari Game Reserve where we will spend 2 nights.
